Chiron Discovery Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of chirondiscovery.com and any related pages (the “Site”), operated by Chiron Discovery (“we,” “our” or “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Not medical advice

Chiron Discovery is a research company. Nothing on the Site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to start, stop or change any medicine or treatment. Research findings, illustrative examples and other content describe early-stage research and have not been evaluated as treatments for memory loss or any other condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You agree not to:

• use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or any connected systems, or interfere with its operation or security;
• use automated means (such as bots or scrapers) to access the Site in a way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• submit false or misleading information, or impersonate any person or organization; or
• submit neural, health or other sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else through the Site’s forms.

3. Platform access

Access to the Chiron platform, its data and its outputs is provided only under a separate written agreement with Chiron Discovery. Submitting the access form does not grant you access or create any obligation for either party. If a separate agreement applies, it governs where it conflicts with these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, visualizations, logos and software, are owned by or licensed to Chiron Discovery and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial reference, provided you keep all copyright and other notices. Any other use requires our prior written permission. “Chiron Discovery” and our logo are our trademarks.

5. Third-party content and open data

The Site refers and links to publications and third-party data resources, such as UK Biobank, FinnGen, Open Targets, the GWAS Catalog, GTEx and ChEMBL. These resources belong to their respective owners, are subject to their own terms, and do not endorse Chiron Discovery. We are not responsible for third-party websites or their content.

6. Your submissions

If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them without obligation to you. Personal information you submit is handled under our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Research content reflects our understanding at the time of publication, may be incomplete, and may change as new evidence emerges. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chiron Discovery and its officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chiron Discovery from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

10. Changes and termination

We may change the Site or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above will change. We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at any time, for any reason.

11. Governing law

Chiron Discovery is not yet incorporated, so these Terms do not currently designate a governing law or exclusive venue. We will name one here once the company is formed. Until then, nothing in this section limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law to bring a claim where you live.

12. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
